April comes from the Latin Aperio which translates as - to lay bare, uncover, to make accessible.

This is an interesting interpretation as April is the month for the zodiac sign Aries. Aries rules the top of the head, brain and face down to the upper jaw. So it is immediately seen that the head and its secret and sacred center, will be very important, being accessible to cosmic influences. Precipitated arial elements express the Universe through your brain to your body. The brain is an organ - an instrument that will play the heavenly music and is a miniature uni-verse. Stay with me as this unfolds in a very exciting way.

It has been postulated that all the words that begin with A went way back to Atlantis and when Atlantis was destroyed and the inhabitants spread throughout the world, place names and language took on the Atlantean origins. The A shape represents a pinnacle, the top, the Apex. We have the pyramidal top and obelisks point to the sky with the same shape. All this is to indicate that this elevated shape was held in great awe and respect.

The mystics of old knew of the great energy this shape represented. Consider mystically the following words:-

Arthur, Avalon, Arcanum, Atlantis, Atlantic, Amon Ra (blue god) Argonauts, Anglo-Saxons (they called Aries Ramni,) Arcanus (Roman for Aries in secret Latin), Arkites, Acacia (the wood the Ark of the Covenant was made from,) Altar, Apsis (arch or vault,) Arka (meaning wisdom) Argha (moon and female generative principle) Asgard Bridge (sky - milky way) Adam, Abraham and we mustn’t overlook Arcadia. The Egyptians called Aries, Arnum, The Lord of the Head. If you look at the map of Australia and rotate it clockwise, you will see that it looks like a head and face. In the area of the forehead, is an area called Arnum land!

So on that note let us examine our own Apex, the head. In the last chapter on Pisces and the blue/violet, we showed how the great celestial oceans had available to us, all the magic we could hope and wish for. All we needed was a system to unlock the infinite creative celestial ocean to draw creative inspiration into our lives. We showed how the Divine Spark had to be magnetically attracted to the iron and oxygen in the blood, allowing breath. Now we have to know how to ignite it. A flame does not burn without oxygen. The iron in the blood provides the flint to spark ignition.

Aries is a fire sign. But Oh! What a fire sign! I want you to imagine a thunder bolt as it ignites and flashes across sky. That searing and intense electric blue, is the color blue that is the spiritual precursor to action which is the red expression. When you strike a match, the blue flash is what I am talking about, or the arc from an electrical charge. Beautiful and lethal if not intelligently directed. Blue is usually considered as a passive color in the outer world, but interiorly it is dynamically spiritually active. It is secretive as its power is hidden underneath, it is silent and loves the dark. It is the hidden female power of the male fire in the blood. Of course this only works when we have patience with this Arian energy!

So now we have the inspiration and fire power to do what? The blue is the color of intellect and mind, but it has to have a place to live and an ability to inscribe. The Cerebrum is the place where the thought inscribes itself. The cerebrum is the upper or top brain, the place of the Temple (our foreheads are called temples.) Cerebrum is broken down to be cere, an extract of cereal or grain with a waxy coating and brum which is an ancient word for the most high - like Brahma, Abraham etc. and also means something dark and hidden. Bran (cereal) was the Celtic god whose symbol was the crow and the crow was Lug or Light. Bran’s head was known as a talking oracular head.

Spirit is also represented by a Bee and it is the excrements of the spiritual bee that forms the waxy brain substance that stores the honey. So the spiritual electric charge of intellect now inscribes itself on the waxy surface of the brain and sets in motion the magnificent interior glandular functions and the mysteries of the “magic cave,” “ the bridal chamber,” “the light in the dark” and other metaphors to describe the functions of the optic thalamus area.

The brain becomes the receiving station, a battery, for the collection of spiritual electricity. The DNA pattern is impressed and creation has begun. The energies we are describing were described as Gods who were given kingdoms and in this case we are relating these to you and your physical body.

The churches leaders of the past were reluctant to expose the masses to science and had ongoing arguments with the Alchemists, Artists and Astronomers, (notice all the A’s.) The celestial combinations astrologers call Angles became Angels, Good became God, Live became Evil and Lived became Devil reversed. All to distract everyone away from the majesty of what was really going on and so ecclesiasm was wrought.

The women basket weavers, who were the healers, were called wicked, after the wicker they wove. They eventually went underground and became Wicca. The feminine aspect was once again denied.

But back to our revelations. This energy manifests itself as phosphorous and the cell salt is called Kali Phos which is the highest vibration the body can be subjected to without injury. If you have ever been out to sea on a dark night, on the crests of waves you can see the spark of electric blue phosphorous like fire-flies on the water. So fire and water do mix! Kali was a fire goddess and means Mother, matter, material and phos means Light Bearer! Now we are getting somewhere. We use the expressions - “light of the mind,” “throw light on the subject,” “see the light.” This phosphorous is Potassium and is the chief substance in the grey nerve cells which creates the mental flow, producing through various biochemical actions - your gold.

The Au is gold and the Aum is gold plus (M) mother,

Sun and Moon = Gold, (God) the gold that creates the all-seeing eye (egg) which resides in heaven (head). Remember the Goose that laid the Golden Egg?

Lets examine the word H EAVE N.

Remember we had the letter H (father) for breath - then E(A)VE - feminine mother - N which in Hebrew is nun, meaning fish!

Father/Mother who are an androgynous fish, male and female combined.

In Pisces we talked about the celestial fish as the divine sparks of life and we now know that to experience heaven we have to have all combined in the practice of the Alchemical wedding! The bridal chamber resides in the middle of the skull - cranium - ivory cup - Calvary (head.) We can also interpret Heaven - the heaved up place containing the fish. So as you think, you are creating little fish seeds (cells).

                 As you sew, so shall you reap the outward manifestation of your mind.

We have been speaking about the cerebrum, the cerebellum we will discuss in Taurus next month.

Inside the brain, tucked up deep inside resides the pineal (male - the upper penis,) gland, often represented as a pine cone, and the pituitary (female) gland which exudes a phlegm. This is the place of the land of milk and honey. When the correct chemical actions take place and all is in the right combination we have the EYE SINGLE. In Tibet the ruler of Aries, which is Mars, is called Migmar whose symbol is the eye - which calls forth the light!

 If thine eye be single thy whole body will be full of LIGHT!

The astrological statement for Aries is - I AM. Now let us re-interpret this. I is the ego identification or EYE. A is the Ark or container and M always represents the celestial mother’s water or dew. Now let us look at another symbol of the eye in the pyramid!

The I becomes Eye single in the Ark and the M is the penetrating cosmic ocean energies. M is Mer and Mare for the sea, Mother, Mary and matter. The great I AM then is God now entering matter to become individualized as you! The male energy acting upon the feminine to combine form.

The Pineal is a red color, which we will discuss further in Scorpio in November. It is made up of closed follicles filled with cells mixed with calcareous (lime) matter and is called brain sand. For those Alchemists looking for the Stone or Rock, the pineal gland becomes hard like a rock when the brain sand is manufactured. If there is an imbalance it becomes flabby. If we follow the language we get, soul - soil (minerals) stone - Philosophers Stone - Green Stone. We shall talk of the green stone in Taurus next month. So consider this wonderful alchemical mystery!

The Greek word for stone is Kephas from Kephalos, meaning the head. There is a saying - “to kill two birds with one stone.” This translates as the two lobes of the brain (bird wings) with the precious interior stone. The two minds, conscious and subconscious, right and left brain, must be combined at the place of the stone (the super-conscious!) Also to ‘lose one’s head’ means one has lost his senses. Or to be of ‘two minds; means they have lost the connection between intuitive and rational thought. We have to use wisdom to gain the promised land, the Sinai - or single eye!

The pituitary sweats its phlegm and the Pia Mater (tender Mother) carries the mixed fluids of the cerebrum and spinal cord. So the lovemaking of Mother/Father creates a sweat or serum that are both saline and alkaline (salty). This is the pure water, the Virgin Mary (sea). A perfect environment in which the little fishes swim and multiply. For those who are interested, you can now follow the Bible story of the loaves (bread - matter) and fishes (cells) and how they multiplied. Mother and Father are now separate. The optic thalami is the matrix from which the roots of the two nervous systems grow and they become the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. There are many more extraordinary functions that are too numerous to go into here at this time. We have all probably killed a few brain cells, having a good time. This is robbing your own precious gold stored in heaven!

Aries is represented by the Ram, who butts with his head, the word in Sanskrit means high. It means of a high cast. The references to rams, sheep and the Golden Fleece of the Argonauts all represent aspects or functions of the cerebro-spinal system. When the Sun and Moon conjoined - new moon - in Aries the Ram, we see the beginning of the growing months. Please don’t forget the female sheep - the Ewe (you) represented by the moon.

The word esse means - to be. Your essence is your substance necessary for existence. The skull is the Cup of Life and contains this essence. The spirit of anything is in the essence. The word Dew (which is an ancient word for brain substance) has been precipitated from above, just like our morning dew and called the “daily bread.” This dew is like Du-w Dyhu or Dyu, the bright heavenly divinity of India and Greece. The essence the brain creates is then distributed through the various endocrine glands which differentiates it. In the blue/violet Pisces previously discussed, we have the energy rulership over essences, chemicals, anaesthetics, drugs and oils (which we will talk about when we get to the Virgo complements in September.) The Neptunian influence also rules alcohol and liquor which is a Spirit that robs our Spirit. Sleep and Meditation are blue/violet ruled also.

The esoteric color for Aries is the brightest electric blue to the palest sky blue. This color indicates people who love the night. The blue color vibration represents the essence of you. The energy is strong and deep and is literally pressed into existence. The creation of the DNA pattern begins. In a negative sense we get superstition, fear, and grief. The color is intellectually strong but not emotionally. The unbalanced emotional energy shows up as an insult to purity as in blue movies, blue laws, blue jokes. It shows someone who is not following their blue print. One needs to keep a cool (blue) head.

Through the 7 ductless endocrine glands, our quality of life is established and it is the balance and quality of this chemistry that allows the “eye that sleepeth not” to understand and know. The Sun (gold) is exalted in Aries so the inner Sun has to receive the quality nutrients that flow in the blood stream back up to the head and it is here, in Alchemical terms, that the Red become White! The concentrated essence (spirit,) having experienced life and adventures, thanks to the endocrine grands, now returns to heaven, in the skull, and becomes the cerebral spinal fluid. These are the goods stored up in heaven and the great wand (spine) assists in the enterprise. This fluid, that has been magically worked on by the four rivers and the hormones, is the sap of the Tree of Life and bestows immortality.

This is the manna, dew, honey, nectar and ambrosia, food of the gods, elixir of life, sacred soma juice and amrita.

Please know that we are talking about a process that repeats itself over and over all over the Universe. There are many physical disciplines that explore these processes, and with education they have very good results, including the sex act. The four rivers, relates to several things, but one consideration is the four directions and also the four elements. Consider that the four elements, fire, air, earth and water create a fifth, which grows out of these four called Wood. The wood is the word which became flesh. The wood is You!

The Arian nature has a strong desire to experience partnership even though it is strongly individualistic and self focused. We see in the complement or opposite sign of Libra, the sign of partnership, this color is an orange/red. The electric blue seeks out the color energy compliment to feel complete. The passion and thrust of this dynamic energy demands that a cool (blue) head for right mental action, to prevail.

Aries have to constantly rein in the horses. Aries holds sway over the Spring equinox (night/horse.) Horses symbolically represent mental thought. Night mares though can be interpreted as ‘night sea’ as mare in Latin is sea. This is the celestial sea, water or dew. These night mares are the result of brain activity at night.

A straight line symbol is masculine, I, and a circle O, is feminine. When we combine the two we have a circle that moves and becomes a vortex. It coils. Vortexes have a magnetic center. This now is symbolic of the energy flow that is beginning to happen and it is called our mortal coil. An ebb and flow starts and rhythmic movement as in rocking back and forth. We can be rocked by our Mothers to sooth us or be violently shaken up by rock music.

This rate, frequency or oscillation is what holds matter stable and in a certain state. This swirling movement begins a rhythm. Our earliest lullabies were rhyming and it is well known that if you want to remember something - rhyme it. This poetic creative energy will be the beginning of sound and words that will be explored in Taurus next month.

We cannot finish Aries until we talk about the planet Mars which is the King of this kingdom. We talk of Rulers as visiting other kingdoms, when they are in other signs at birth or by transit. However I do not want to make this about Mars except to say that its energy is our driving force, it puts the spring in our step. It is aggressive, passionate, sexy, warlike, dynamic and when the energy in used with wisdom, extremely intelligent. Its electricity can kill and can also be the bearer of LIGHT. The God Mars represents the dynamic male physical sex drive and energy.

However this energy has to find an outlet either in creativity or reproduction. See the picture of a very masculine Mars.

In closing I want to point out that a white dove represents spirit entering matter, a crow represents spirit enclosed in matter that will be set free. The lobes of the brain represent the wings of the dove, as on the helmet of Mercury, the messenger of our thoughts. The Dove is the fiery Spirit and could be represented by Dubhe a star between Polaris, our current pole star, and Merek, the pole star of the Egyptians. It represents the link between heaven and earth.

Dubhe means a herd of animals. In Arabic dubhah means cattle. In Hebrew dohver means cattle-fold and in Australia, a drover is a hearder of cattle and sheep! The sheep (Aries) hearder. Jesus was a shepherd. Translated this means that we should allow ourselves to be herded and protected by the super-conscious.

We have explored language and meaning here and it is now up to you to see clearly into the symbols that surround you every day. Hopefully, you won’t do it “through a glass darkly.” I know it is helpful if you have some background in esoteric and religious books and word origins but keep trying. Learn to think with your right brain - symbolically and mythologically.

You must know now that the stone in the chamber, the baby in the cradle, represents a nucleus of what is and what will be. The kernel, the kernel of Truth. It is your beginning and end. Just as a seed is cradled in the fleshy fruit, so to is your precious golden egg (stone/rock). As we now know birds, crows and doves represent Spirit, so it is with this knowledge that you will find your -

                                                   BLUE BIRD OF HAPPINESS.

                                      Rock-a-bye baby on the tree top,

                                      When the wind blows (breath) the cradle will rock. (rhythm)

                                      Rock of Ages - the hymn.

                                      Peter was the Rock on which the Christian Church was built.

                                      Build on the Rock and never on the sand (soft pineal)
